NEED ADVICE Insurance Help on Formula - 2007/04/25 01:02 Has anyone ever seen an insurance company treat formula as a supply item vs the prescription it really is? What I'm seeing is that they are charging at a higher rate than the established prescription cost for the insuarance plan we participate in...

After moving to a TN and finally getting the formula covered, I am concerned about whether I can push this. I am waiting for the first charge to show on my account so I can approach the insurance company about this situation, however, I could use any advice as I take this on.

Re:NEED ADVICE Insurance Help on Formula - 2007/07/02 17:29 I am not sure how many adults in TN even get insurance coverage on the formula. Some one was telling me that their insurance covered the formula as a DME (durable medical equipment or something like that?) I'm not sure if that's the same thing that you're talking about though.
It looks like our insurance battle will actually be with Bryon's HR dept at his job instead of the insurance company. At least that is what I understand since ERISA is our problem.
