Member Outreach

Each year it is estimated that approximately  three to ten families within the Tennessee area will receive a PKU diagnosis. One of our commitments is to provide support to those families that are navigating through this unexpected, scary, and often times, isolating experience. Our newborn packets are comprised of essential materials like a food scale and measuring tools to ensure a smooth transition to a low protein diet way of life. Other items in the packet include a blender bottle, infant onesie, and local and national resources, including how to get connected with the Tennessee PKU Foundation.
