May is National PKU Awareness month and we're going "wild" for PKU by sponsoring three walks across the state.  The first walk was in Knoxville on May 17th and was a great success. The second walk will be at the Nashville Zoo.  Registration begins at 9:00am and we will have a luncheon for PKU Families and special guest speaker, Dr. Ray Stevens.  The third walk will be on June 7th at the Memphis Zoo starting at 8:00am and will also be followed by a celebration at the Primate Pavillion with guest speakers. Our goal with these walks is to raise money for research as well as increase awareness.  Below are the registration forms; Additional details of each walk is in the registration forms.

The great people at BioMarin realize that living with a metabolic disorder can be very expensive; therefore, they are generously sponsoring the participation fees for the following:

1) Children with PKU or other IEM and their parents and siblings.

2) Adults with PKU or other IEM and their spouses and children.

All other participants are required to pay a Walk for PKU participation fee which includes, but is not limited to, zoo admission.

Join us on Saturday, April 26th at Zuma Fun Center from 6-11p.m. for our first Zuma PKU Awareness Day and fundraiser.  Get unlimited Go-Karts, Bumper Boats, Mini-Golf, and Playland for only $15 per person.  There will also be specials for food and game tokens and giveaways throughout the night!  A portion of all proceeds will go to support PKU research and the Trooper Island PKU Camp.  Be sure to let them know that you're there to support PKU! TN PKU Foundation Charity Golf Scramble

 TPF's first Charity Golf Scramble will be taking place on Friday, May 16th just over the state line at the Links of Novadell in Hopkinsville, KY.  Team check-in begins at 8:00a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:00a.m.  Advance registration is $60 per player ($70 the day of the event).  A luncheon will follow the tournament along with a Celebrity Autographed Item silent auction.  Games and prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin and hole in one.  For more information or to sponsor a hole ($150), cart ($50), or door prize, contact Jeanne Foster at 931-387-4771 or 931- 237-6421.
